TDTD ANNOUNCES TENNESSEE'S TOP 50 ATTRACTIONS IN 2003

Aug 2 2004 NASHVILLE

The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development announces the Top 50 Attractions from across the state in 2003.  The report has been compiled by the department's research office, and visitation information has been provided by the individual attractions.  This list includes only those attractions that reported attendance.

Tennessee Department of Tourist Development Commissioner Susan Whitaker said, "Tennessee's many attractions from all regions of our state have a proven track record of drawing visitors from both out-of-state and in-state.  These attractions include a myriad of tourism-related
businesses, including but not limited to theme parks, family entertainment, shopping experiences, museums, historic homes, civil war sites, and culture heritage destinations.  It is easy to see why traveling to and through Tennessee has become so popular."
