NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Guests of City Winery Nashville, the downtown restaurant, music venue and urban winery, can now enjoy new winter menus in the Barrel Room Wine Bar & Restaurant and concert venue.
Created by City Winery Nashville Executive Chef Garrett Pittler, the new menus highlight seasonal ingredients and flavors influenced by the wine regions from where the urban winery sources its grapes, including Mediterranean, Italian, French Spanish and Middle Eastern cuisines.
New shareable options on the dinner menu, which is compiled of small plates and salads, flatbreads and large plates, include a warm White Chocolate Parsnip Bisque served with cocoa-dusted croutons; Pretzels and 1927 IPA Beer Cheese Dip; Warm Pimento Cheese Crab Dip with chili-spiced potato chips; Rockabilly Red Pork Belly Steam Buns made with City Winery’s house-made red blend and served with pickled cucumber, red onions and sesame mayo; Lamb Ribs; and Tartare Sliders and Fries.
Among the larger plates, diners can enjoy cold weather comforts such as Winter Squash and Quinoa Risotto; Pan-Seared Scallops over butternut squash puree, pork belly, walnuts, chickpea cracklin’ salad and apple cider bourbon gastrique; Beet Ravioli prepared with braised walnuts, goat cheese, beet hash, arugula and sherry beurre monté; Wine-Braised Chicken Legs; and a Pork Steak served with farro and mushroom salad, tarragon pistachio pesto, popped farro and shaved truffle; along with new sides including Roasted Spaghetti Squash, Fried Brussel Sprouts and Roasted Winter Vegetables.
In addition, City Winery Nashville has added a Pop, Fizz, Brunch! Mimosa Bar during the restaurant’s weekend brunch 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Served on a shareable table presentation, the new Mimosa Bar includes grapefruit cranberry and orange juices, fresh herbs, season fruit and a bottle of bubbles. One order comfortably serves four guests or five mimosas.
The City Winery Nashville winemaking team, led by winemaker Bill Anton, has announced the release of the 2016 Grand Ole Grenache, the urban winery’s newest Music City-inspired varietal. The perfect wine to pair with traditional holiday dishes, the Grand Ole Grenache has fresh fruit aromas of strawberry and raspberries on the nose. The palate has smooth silky tannins finishing with a slight white pepper and ruby red grapefruit.
Now available on tap by the glass at the Barrel Room Wine Bar & Restaurant and to-go in a growler, and soon to be available by the bottle, the Grand Ole Grenache is priced at $23 per bottle.
