Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority and Arts & Culture Alliance Present “Arts in the Airport”

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority (McGhee Tyson Airport) and the Arts & Culture Alliance of Greater Knoxville present the 18th “Arts in the Airport” exhibition, a new selection of artwork from 34 artists in the East Tennessee region. The contemporary 2- and 3-dimensional artwork is displayed now through April 18, 2018 in the secured area behind McGhee Tyson Airport’s security gate checkpoint.

For this exhibition, artists were invited to help celebrate the airport’s 80th anniversary with work inspired by the past 80 years of progress within the community. This event is one of the events the Airport Authority highlights in its year-long anniversary campaign: “Celebrating 80 Years in Eighty Ways.”
