NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Hundreds of cyclists from nearly 30 different states will converge Sept. 16-20 for Tennessee State Parks’ annual Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee through West Tennessee.
The 28th annual ride will wind riders through some of Middle and West Tennessee’s most scenic and charming communities, including Dickson, Wildersville, Buchanan, Savannah and Lawrenceburg. Riders will overnight at five Tennessee State Parks: David Crockett, Montgomery Bell, Natchez Trace, Paris Landing and Pickwick Landing.
The five-day ride will wind riders across approximately 380 miles, beginning and ending at Montgomery Bell State Park in Dickson. The ride is non-competitive and suitable for a range of skill levels.
Registration for the 2017 Fall BRAT begins at $150 for a two-day trip and $475 for the full five-day trip. The fee includes a fully supported route, lodging at five state park campsites, hot showers, meals (breakfast and supper), live entertainment and interpretive programming as well as an event t-shirt.
The Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee is sponsored by Tennessee State Parks and benefits two non-profit organizations: the Tennessee Park Rangers Association and the Friend of the Cumberland Trail.
