PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. – WonderWorks has teamed up with NASA to showcase the science of astronomy and the planets as NASA prepares for their journey to Mars with a temporary exhibit on display beginning an intergalactic weekend Oct. 5-8 at WonderWorks.
The new SLS and Orion will launch on a solo endeavor without occupants from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida in 2018. The crafts are set to take astronauts farther into space than ever before and improve life on Earth with new technologies and economic opportunities. This temporary exhibit will give a glimpse into NASA’s upcoming journey and feature life size models of the space crafts and a virtual reality journey to mars where participants get to experience the SLS and Orion Spacecraft up close. All the exhibits will be manned by NASA staff.
To make the event out of this world, on Saturday guests will get to meet an astronaut! Alongside NASA’s new exhibits, Nasa’s very own Captain Robert “Hoot” Gibson will give presentations, speaking to guests one on one, posing for photos, and signing autographs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 7.
Guests who purchase any WonderWorks ticket combo will get to visit with Astronaut Captain Robert “Hoot” Gibson and check out all of NASA’s exhibits.
Register for the Event Below and Get a free Mission Complete Patch or other gifts for attending (while supplies last).
