DICKSON, Tenn. – The Renaissance Players present another wonderful children’s production in their 2018 season. Alice in Wonderland Jr., directed by Valerie Kopischke, runs Sept. 12-30 at the Renaissance Center.
Alice’s wild adventure begins as she ignores her older sister Mathilda and chases the White Rabbit down his rabbit hole. She turns a doorknob that opens up the incredible Wonderland. Through her travels, she races a Dodo Bird, plays around with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and has a tea party with the Mad Hatter and March Hare. She meets strange characters like the Cheshire Cat and a rapping Caterpillar. Alice sings with the Girls of the Golden Afternoon, and has to battle the Queen and the King of Hearts and the Royal Cardsmen.
Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr. features the wonderful imaginings of one of literature’s most beloved heroines in a fresh and exciting way. The stage production features updated songs from the original motion picture along with new songs that you and your children will be humming and singing on the way home and after! This spectacular cast is made up of 40 actors ages 6-18 years old.
Performances are 7 p.m. Sept. 21-22, 28-29 and 2 p.m. Sept. 23, 30.
