BELL BUCKLE, Tenn. – Bell Buckle enjoys the holiday season with the Bell Buckle Quilt Walk 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 30-Dec. 1 and Old Fashioned Christmas Dec. 1, 8 and 15 which includes the returning Pet Parade, S’Mores Pit and Santa Claus.
Private homes, each with its very own individual charm, will showcase an array of quilts with a turn-of-the-century architectural backdrop during the Quilt Walk. Visitors will be able to see nearly every style from the traditional, all hand-sewn quilts to English batted, painted, patterned, trapunto, shadow, embroidered, machine quilted and more. Like the architecture of Bell Buckle’s historic homes, quilts are a tangible, tactile record of life in America’s past and present. The Quilt Walk is free to attendees. Brochures and maps will be available. Visitors can even catch a ride on Santa’s trailer if they would rather ride than walk.
The Pet Parade is back and visitors are welcome to bring their pooch and/or feline for a stroll through town as part of the Bell Buckle festivities. Dress yourself and your pet up in a Christmas theme to join Santa and his elves and other parade goers for a jolly good time.
Santa and his sleigh will offer free magical rides every Saturday around the quaint, tree-lined streets to take in the lights and festive spirit. A free S’Mores Bar is available at the pavilion on Main Street and kids are able to write their letters to Santa and pick up a few candy canes. Carolers will stroll and sing downtown. Additionally, each Saturday the local shops will offer a variety of complimentary items.
