Adrenaline-filled Motorcycle Racing to Bring Riders from Across the U.S.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The thrills of American Motorcycle Association racing will take place during the inaugural Cookeville Motorcycle Classic, a family-oriented event filled with multiple competitions and racers from across U.S. Sept. 14-16 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.
Putnam County is no stranger to AMA events, as Middle Tennessee Dragway has served as home to both professional and amateur hillclimb competitions. The need for speed will now bring the sweet scent of racing fuel to downtown, as three days of AMA-sanctioned racing kicks off with AMA Amateur, Pro and Hooligan Flat Track Racing 7 p.m. Sept. 14 .
High-octane performance returns noon Sept. 15 to Buffalo Valley for the AMA Pro National Championship Series Hillclimb. Closing out the event noon Sept. 16, amateur riders will take the spotlight in the AMA Amateur Tennessee State Championship and Northeaster Signature Series Hillclimb. Scaling the 550-ft dirt incline, riders will put their skills to the test for the state title.
The event will be presented by Boswell’s Country Roads Harley-Davidson, Miller Lite, Thunder Roads Magazine of Tennessee, and the Cookeville-Putnam County Visitors’ Bureau.
