NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s “2018-19 HCA/TriStar Health Broadway at TPAC Season” has new and contemporary hits still thrilling audiences in New York.
With something for everyone, TPAC’s 2018-19 Season includes five new productions making their Nashville debut: SCHOOL OF ROCK, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new high-octane musical comedy based on the popular hit film; THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG, Broadway and London’s award-winning smash comedy; ON YOUR FEET!, the inspiring true story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan; A BRONX TALE, Broadway’s hit crowd pleaser based on Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri’s story and ANASTASIA, the hit musical about a young woman searching for her place in the world.
Adding to the powerful line-up are three classic Broadway revivals, featuring the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival HELLO, DOLLY!, starring Broadway legend Betty Buckley; the acclaimed new production of MISS SAIGON; and the fresh reimagining of the masterpiece FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.
TPAC will present several Broadway special engagements in addition to the season package. Back by popular demand following record-breaking and sold-out engagements, THE BOOK OF MORMON returns to Nashville. Also included is a special holiday engagement of IRVING BERLIN’S WHITE CHRISTMAS and the 10th Anniversary Tour of Broadway’s biggest party, ROCK OF AGES. Experience the beginning of The Phantom’s story again as Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA makes a triumphant return to Nashville for two weeks in the fall.
TPAC also announces the premiere of HAMILTON on its 2019-20 Broadway season. The news comes via a special video message by Belmont University alum Chris De’Sean Lee, who has performed the roles of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in both the Chicago and touring productions of HAMILTON.
The best way to guarantee tickets to HAMILTON is to purchase a season subscription for the 2018-19 Season. Season ticket holders who renew their subscription for the 2019-20 Season will guarantee their tickets before they become available to the general public. Information regarding engagement dates and how to purchase groups and single tickets will be announced later.
