MURFREESBORO, TN – Dec. 5, 2019 – Discovery Center seeks new artist submissions to add to its “We Are Tennessee” exhibit. The deadline to submit art is Jan. 31, 2020.
“We Are Tennessee” is an exhibit exploring concepts of the state's cultural identity and what it means to be a Tennessean. Artists of all ages and mediums from Tennessee are invited to submit their work reflecting their interpretation of the concept of identity in their own terms. Visual artists may approach this call through any medium; however, only a hi-resolution print of visual art (produced at the cost of the Discovery Center) will be displayed for the exhibit. Written work and multimedia files will be accepted.
Notification of selection takes place March 1, 2020. The reception event is scheduled 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 25, 2020 at Discovery Center. It is free and open to the public.
