GATLINBURG, Tenn. – Wintertime visitors of Gatlinburg are in for a flurry of action-packed activities this holiday season, highlighted by enhanced seasonal décor featuring over 50, three-dimensional Snowpeople placed throughout the city.
Gatlinburg Winter Magic runs November through January and includes activities for the whole family. Visitors can find a complete list of holiday happenings by downloading the Gatlinburg App. Beginning in December, the app will also include a map of all the Snowpeople locations throughout town. Visitors are encouraged to share their photos with the Snowpeople using the official Gatlinburg winter hashtag: #GatlinburgWinter.

Gatlinburg Winter Magic Tour of Lights: Now through Jan. 26, 2018
Though tickets to Gatlinburg Trolley Ride of Lights are sold out, Gatlinburg’s lighted pathways still allow visitors to view town’s LED lighting displays and Winter Magic snowmen on a self-guided walking or motor tour.
Winter Magic Tunes and Tales: Nov. 23-Dec. 22, 2018
Holiday music will fill the air with a mixture of Appalachia, Bluegrass, and Country! Visitors are invited to meet characters and storytellers, visit with Santa’s elves and enjoy caroling along the Parkway Friday and Saturday evenings of the holiday season.
Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade: Dec. 7, 2018
Presented by Ole Red Gatlinburg, the 43rd Annual Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade promises to be a spectacular celebration filled with marching bands, large balloons, dancers, and of course, Santa Claus.
New Year’s Eve Ball Drop and Fireworks Show: Dec. 31, 2018
Gatlinburg will welcome the arrival of 2019 in unique style with its Annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop and Fireworks Show around the intersection of Parkway and Historic Nature Trail at the base of the Space Needle late Monday night, Dec. 31.
