NASHVILLE, Tenn. – HoneyFire Barbeque Co., the first brick-and-mortar from award-winning competition pitmaster Shane Nasby is now open in One Bellevue Place.
The restaurant serves as the only family-owned business in the newly-developed, outdoor shopping center. The menu will feature signature smoked meats, with HoneyFire’s original house made sauces and habanero-infused local honey, alongside Nasby’s takes on traditional southern sides. The restaurant is the culmination of Nasby’s years of experience on the competitive barbecue circuit, where he refined his fusion of regional techniques and signature sweet heat flavors.
Nasby opens the restaurant along with his wife, Angela, and co-owner Ben Claybaker, a Nashville entrepreneur and business leader.
HoneyFire’s menu highlights include the Texas-Style Brisket, seasoned only with salt and pepper, flavored by hickory smoke and served both chopped and sliced to serve; the Southern Shine with hickory-smoked hand pulled pork, fried green tomatoes, housemade pimento cheese and candied bacon, served with Original HoneyFire sauce on a warm toasted bun. Nasby’s entrees are served with new-fashioned sides including White Queso Mac and Cheese and Hoosier Corn Pudding, paying homage to Nasby’s Indiana roots. A full bar will be available with adult sodas, signature cocktails , including the sweet and salty Pawpaw’s Coke served in a classic bottle with whiskey and filled with peanuts, along with a selection of craft beer and wine.
The contemporary fast-casual restaurant is sleek with black and white fixtures and honeycomb adorned seating, a nod to Nasby’s signature habanero-infused local honey. The space will host more than 160 guests inside and on the expansive outdoor patio where large garage doors will open to the full bar.
HoneyFire Barbeque Co. is open now through Nov. 25 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. prior to their standard operating hours 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday beginning Nov. 26.
