NASHVILLE, TN – June 4, 2019 – At Kimpton Aertson Hotel, guests can participate in a shared experience of the sights, sounds and tastes of Music City from their own hotel room as part of the Kimpton Stay Human Project. The room will be available to guests June 1 through Sept. 30.
Following the success of Room 301, the first-of-its-kind social experiment at the Kimpton Everly Hotel that encouraged participants to forge meaningful ties with other guests through a shared, customized experience, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants launched its Kimpton Stay Human Project to introduce immersive and interactive experiences from a Kimpton hotel room in 20 participating cities across the nation.
Kimpton Aertson Hotel is approaching its fun and immersive in-room experience in a way that honors the creative character of the city and the hotel—adjacent to Music Row, the creative hub of Nashville. Guests who book the King Premier room are encouraged to channel their inner Johnny Cash or Dolly Parton and record their own cover selected from a playlist of songs and artists inspired by Music City, curated by community partner Lightning 100, Nashville’s independent radio station. The song production process is simple for recording artists of all levels with the aid of an Epiphone guitar, a microphone and an iPad loaded with music-composition software. The final recording(s) will be uploaded to the hotel’s Spotify channel to be shared with other guests.
Alongside plush robes hanging in the closet, a set of Porter Wagoner-inspired shirts will be available for guests who want to lounge like rhinestone cowboys and cowgirls during their stay.
Additional elements to the immersive stay experience include an individually-customized welcome cocktail from the expert bartenders at Henley, following a quick survey to determine the guest’s spirit rock star, a sheet music guest book where they can write about their experience and connect with other guests and a neon #StayHumanProject sign that begs to be ‘grammed.
