KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Knoxville Theatre Club joins forces with Modern Studio to create the Holler! Performing Arts Center with a multi-phase renovation beginning Summer 2018. The venue is located 109 West Anderson Ave. Knoxville, 37917.
HPAC’s grand opening and launch party is 7 p.m. June 9 with doors open at 6 p.m. and features local actors, dancers, and visual artists, as well as Happy Holler breweries and food trucks. Entry to the event is Pay-What-You-Want, with a suggested donation of $5. The new proposed renovations include elevated seating for 80+, a large permanent stage, and curated gallery. The revamped venue will serve as Knoxville's premiere incubator for local performing arts and an entertainment hub for the thriving community along Central Street.
Knoxville Theatre Club supports local playwrights and performing artists with events like the Crow Flies Scriptworks and Knoxville Theatre Slam, while Modern Studio hosts Knoxtravanganza variety shows and provides a low-cost space to produce fully staged productions and host classes. Their expanded partnership is a natural evolution of their missions and a win for the local arts community.
