NASHVILLE, Tenn. – GRAMMY-winning super group Lady Antebellum will headline Nashville’s Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th presented by Dr Pepper, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp has announced. Newly-inducted Grand Ole Opry member Chris Janson, whose hits include “Buy Me a Boat” and “Fix a Drink,” along with pop artist Lucie Silvas and R&B producer, musician and artist Shannon Sanders, are part of the lineup.
Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th presented by Dr Pepper is a free, family-friendly event that showcases the GRAMMY-winning Nashville Symphony and one of the largest fireworks shows in the country.
“There’s no better place to watch fireworks than Nashville’s downtown riverfront on a night filled with music,” Mayor David Briley said. “That’s why Nashville’s July 4th celebration has quickly become one of the biggest and best in the country. It’s a huge hit for our city and our local businesses as thousands of visitors come to town, and it’s a free, family-friendly event for Nashvillians too. Nashville has musical talent that no other city can match, and it will be on display once again this July 4th.”
The main concert stage will again be located at Fifth Avenue and Broadway and will include a DJ and live music from 4-9:15 p.m. After the concert, the event will shift to the Cumberland Riverfront with a fireworks show synchronized to a live performance by the Nashville Symphony. The program at Ascend Amphitheater will start at 9:15 p.m. with the pyrotechnics running from 9:30-10 p.m.
The Independence Day celebration will kick off with the Wyler’s Light® Family Fun Zone, which includes inflatables and other kid-friendly activities, from noon to 5 p.m. at Music City Walk of Fame Park.

After teaming up in 20016, bandmates Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood have sold more than 18 million unit and have nine No. One hits, ACM and CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” trophies three years in a row and countless other honors, including seven GRAMMYs, Billboard Music Awards, People’s Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards. ladyantebellum.com
Country artist and prolific singer/songwriter Chris Janson began his professional music career more than a decade ago, but his recently released sophomore album Everybody has elevated him to the next level. Called “quite possibly the most important song to come out of Nashville in years” (CMT), Janson’s current single “Drunk Girl” is already drawing praise from fans and critics alike. The “heart-piercing ballad” (People) follows chart-topping singles “Fix A Drink” and his debut album’s Platinum-certified smash “Buy Me A Boat.” Lauded for his “infectious” (Billboard) performances, the electrifying multi-instrumentalist is hitting arenas across the nation this spring alongside label mate Cole Swindell on the Reasons To Drink Tour and will join Jake Owen for the Life’s Whatcha Make It Tour this summer. After receiving an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry from Keith Urban during his headlining show at the Ryman Auditorium, Janson is now the youngest living member of the hallowed organization. The breakout country star has brought his live show to national stages on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, TODAY, Live with Kelly & Ryan and more. chrisjanson.com
