Over the years, Marty Stuart’s love of country music has found multiple avenues for expression. In addition to writing and recording such hits as “Hillbilly Rock,” “Tempted,” and “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’,” Stuart has become one of country music’s most noted historians. The “Hillbilly Rock” exhibit is the second collaborative exhibition between Stuart and Graceland.
Stuart credits producer Sam Phillips and the early artists of Sun Records in Memphis (Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis) with the musical revolution that came to be known as rock ‘n’ roll.
