HUNTINGDON, TN – March 6, 2019 – Mudslingers Pottery Studio and The Dixie Carter Performing Arts and Academic Enrichment Center will host opportunities to experience the hands-on basics of pottery for children grades 2nd – 8th and for adults taught by Candace Gooch-Ward.
Classes are limited to 10 students per class and will focus on the basic pottery skills of pinching, coil building, slab construction, and throwing on the potter’s wheel. Students will also be introduced to glazing and firing processes.
Classes for children begin Tuesdays March 19, April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30. Classes for grades 2-4 take place 3:30-4:30 p.m. and classes for grades 5-8 take place 4:45-6 p.m. Fees are $120 per student/per session and include all materials. The exhibit for children is 5:30 p.m. May 28 at Mudslingers Studio.
Adult classes are scheduled 5:30-8 p.m. every Thursday March 21, March 28, April 4, April 11, April 18 and April 25. Class fees are $170/per student/per session and includes all materials. The exhibit for adults is 5:30 p.m. May 30 at Mudslingers Studio.
