The 90-minute stage production features rising female singer-songwriters as they explore the stories and music of country’s leading ladies while embarking on their own musical journeys
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 11, 2022) – She Believed She Could, a one-of-a-kind stage production celebrating the inspirational stories and music of chart-topping women in country music, will make its opening weekend debut on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 at Nashville’s newly opened Woolworth Theatre.
She Believed She Could will run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights with 6 p.m. showtimes throughout the end of the year. The show is open to all ages. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 14 at 10 a.m. at AXS.com. VIP and group seating opportunities are available.
She Believed She Could is a multi-faceted experience featuring an all-female cast of up-and-coming singer-songwriters who pay tribute to country music’s leading ladies. Accompanied by state-of-the-art multimedia presentations and fellow cast members on backing vocals and instrumentations, the women also share their personal stories of hope, while performing well-known country hits alongside their own originally written music.
“She Believed She Could focuses on the passion and persistence required to relentlessly pursue a musical dream. Whether it’s the story of a country music icon who became a household name or a next generation superstar, She Believed She Could showcases the magic when that dream materializes as a great song and is released to the world,” said Todd Cassetty, the show’s creator, director and producer. “Collectively, the stories and music in our show - as told and sung by some of the most talented women I know - results in an extraordinary, moving experience that transcends ages and genders.”
Cassetty, who is also the founder of the acclaimed Song Suffragettes franchise, added:
“As a father of two young daughters and a Music Row guy who has spent most of his industry career trying to build empowering opportunities for women in music, She Believed She Could is the type of uplifting, family-friendly show that inspires us all, reminding us to never give up on that big dream. And as a first-of-its-kind stage production in Nashville, we’re excited to bring a new caliber of live entertainment to Music City.”
The cast of She Believed She Could is comprised of a remarkable group of Song Suffragettes singer-songwriters: Belles, Jillian Dawn, Kaylin Roberson, Layna, Maddie Walker, and Regan Stewart. All individual artists in their own pursuits, the members of this illustrious line-up have collectively earned millions of music streams, secured opening slots on some of pop and country’s biggest tours, and competed on high-profile music competition shows like "American Idol" and "Real Country."
By design, the majority of the show’s creative and administrative team is comprised of women including Kate Malone who signed on early as Music Director for She Believed She Could.
Says Malone, “Not only does our show celebrate female music icons and a fantastic next generation of talent, but the majority of the creative team for She Believed She Could are women. Having women in positions of authority behind the scenes is crucial … the mutual respect between the cast and crew has created an incredible team spirit that has benefited the entire production.”
Executive Producers of She Believed She Could are New York-based Eden and Anthony Robles along with Paula Steinberg and Alejandro Guardia. Music industry veteran Jim Weatherson (Disney, 19 Entertainment) serves as General Manager. About She Believed She Could She Believed She Could is an all-female musical revue celebrating the stories and songs of some of the most iconic women in country music.
Six performers from the acclaimed Song Suffragettes collective will lend their voices to the music and share personal stories about their own journeys to Nashville to chase their dreams. With 14 performances ranging from No. 1 superstar hits to the next generation of legendary songs, this one-of-a-kind stage production will showcase how passion and persistence lead to success when you believe in yourself and your talent.

About Song Suffragettes Song Suffragettes is a collective of female singer-songwriters that performs every Monday night at The Listening Room Café in Nashville, Tenn. For over eight years, Song Suffragettes has showcased more than 370 talented women out of over 2,000 who have submitted to play the show.
With weekly sell-outs, Song Suffragettes vocally combats widespread discrimination against women in the music industry by giving female talent a place to play, grow and evolve with fellow creatives. Since its inception, 26 Song Suffragettes women have gone on to receive record deals and over 50 have landed music publishing deals.

About The Woolworth Theatre In 2021, Nashville’s historic Woolworth Theatre on John Lewis Way came under new ownership and was transformed into a venue with a capacity of 350-plus. New owner, country singer Chuck Wicks, partnered with investor and entrepreneur Rob Bellenfant and 615 Ventures for the project, and worked with a Nashville-based architect, along with the Tennessee State Museum, to honor the building’s history and preserve its original storefront.
