NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Pat Martin’s Hugh-Baby’s is now open at 3001 West End Ave.
Taking over the former Which Wich spot in the West End Corner building, the 2,500-square-foot barbecue and burger shop offers the same simple, delicious menu of burgers made from beef ground in-house, slow-smoked barbecue and hand-spun milkshakes that have become popular at the Charlotte Avenue location.
Real Fast Food, Cooked To Order
Opened in August 2017 by Pat Martin of Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint, Hugh-Baby’s quickly won the hearts of Nashville residents and visitors alike with quality ingredients, excellent service and crave-worthy burgers, barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, fries and more.
Hugh-Baby’s is reminiscent of simpler times, when even the smallest things were well-made with care. That same integrity is resurrected with the restaurant’s ingredients and preparation – beef is ground in-house daily and pork is treated with time-honored Memphis barbecue traditions. There are no freezers and no microwaves, and the no-fuss Southern hospitality brings guests back to the ‘60s and ‘70s style of small-town burger and barbecue shops.
Offering the same menu as the Charlotte Avenue location, guests can enjoy favorites such as the BBQ Burger, made with a custom beef patty ground in-house daily, topped with pulled pork, American cheese, grilled onions and Hugh-Baby’s barbecue sauce; Pickwick Dog, a hot dog topped with grilled onions, jalapenos, mayo, mustard and Hugh-Baby’s BBQ sauce; Chili Cheese Fries and house-made vanilla, chocolate and strawberry milkshakes.
Also featured at the new location is the Slugburger, a Corinth, Mississippi tradition. Available on Fridays only, the Slugburgers pay homage to Pat’s hometown and are served with mustard, onions and pickles.
