MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Guests can fill up a glass and drink in the knowledge of how beer is made at the Science of Beer 6:30-9:30 p.m. Jan. 18, 2019 at the Pink Palace Museum.
The Science of Beer is an opportunity to talk to local brewers, attend mini-lectures, and participate in other interactive beer-themed activities. The annual event’s proceeds benefit the Pink Palace Museum’s education department.
The event will have 17 beer stations each with some educational components, nine food stations, collegiate partner science stations, multiple science stations hosted by the Pink Palace Museum, mini-lectures, two fun stations, a pretzel necklace station and an area with games like Giant Jenga.
Featured beer vendors include Abita; Bluff City Brewers and Connoisseurs; Bosco’s; Crosstown Brewing Company; Diamond Bear; Earthbound Brewing; Economist Brewing; Flat Hat Brewing; Ghost River; Jackalope Brewery; Meddlesome Brewing; Memphis Brewer’s Association; Memphis Filling Station; Memphis Made; Mid-South Malts; Olive Branch Brewing School; and Southern Prohibition.
Food vendors include Elwood’s Shack; Gus’s Fried Chicken; Flying Saucer; Frost; Growlers; Lucky Cat Ramen; J Brooks; South of Beale; and Wolf River Popcorn.
Each guest will receive a commemorative 16 oz. glass, tasting card and map of the event. There will be three levels of tickets: participant, VIP participant and designated driver. Designated drivers are given a red wristband and are not given a tasting glass.
