COLUMBIA, TN – Oct. 30, 2019 – After having just opened a new show of Orman photos at W7thCo, the gallery hosts acclaimed painter, Warren Greene, providing a rare opportunity to see the artist’s paintings in his hometown. The exhibit is on display now through Nov. 24.
The Artist Reception will be 5-8 p.m. Nov. 2.
This marks a departure at W7thCo where the focus is exclusively showing the Orman Collection, a wide ranging set of photography that documents Maury County over more than a century and consists of award-winning portraits, advertising and historic events.
Although W7thCo is dedicated to preserving and displaying the Orman Collection, owners Kim Hayes and Joel Friddell felt exhibiting the works of Warren Greene was too important to pass up and would be a chance to introduce this level of fine art to the community.
Warren Greene has a Masters in Fine Arts, has been member of faculty at universities in Tennessee and was most recently Chair of the Department of Art at Lipscomb University before moving his family back to his hometown, Columbia, Tennessee in 2016. He has been written about in various publications including the Nashville Arts Magazine, Memphis Flyer and the Jackson Sun.
