NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Registration is now open for Nashville Zoo's popular 5K Zoo Run Run scheduled for Jan. 26, 2019 that takes participants past habitats throughout the zoo and along roads and trails not normally accessed by the public.
Families and children are encouraged to bundle up and hit the trail. Strollers with all-terrain tires are recommended.
Nashville Zoo will close to the public at 1 p.m. on Jan. 26 to prepare for Zoo Run Run. Registration and check-in begins at 1:30 p.m. and the race starts at 3 p.m. Snacks and adult beverages (age 21+ only) will be available after the race.
Early registration (ending Dec. 31) is $30 for zoo members, $35 for non-members and $15 for children ages 5-12. Regular registration (Jan. 1- Jan. 24 at noon) is $42 per adult and $20 for children (ages 5-12). Children ages 4 years old and younger are free. Week-of race registration is $50 per adult and $25 for children (ages 5-12).
All proceeds from the Zoo Run Run help fund Zoo operations including providing education programs for children, feeding more than 2,300 animals and keeping the zoo safe and clean for visitors.
