GRANVILLE, Tenn. – Sam Stout, host and creator of the syndicated radio show Sutton Ole Time Music Hour has announced he will be stepping down from the popular Saturday night event to focus on his new leadership role with the Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree & Crafts Festival.
Jimmy Bilbrey, a well-known musician across the Upper Cumberland, and long-time co-host of the T.B. Sutton General Store’s syndicated show, will become the new host.
Thanks to Stout’s vision and hard work over the years, loyal sponsors, along with a community of volunteers and talented musicians from across the southeast, Sutton’s Old Time Music Hour presently has listeners in all 50 states and 153 countries around the world. The show is syndicated for radio broadcast around the globe. It can be heard locally on Sundays at midnight on Nashville's 650 WSM after The Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree.
The Sutton Ole Time Music Hour is recorded for syndication in front of a live audience from the T.B. Sutton General Store (built in 1880) in Historic Granville, Tennessee.
