NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Select Registry, a diverse collection of independent, boutique properties located throughout the U.S., welcomes the germantown inn in Nashville as its newest member. The six-room luxury inn is located in the historic Germantown section of Nashville.
The germantown inn is the first property in Nashville and seventh in Tennessee to join Select Registry.
Membership in the organization will provide the germantown inn the opportunity to reach a broader audience and partners it with other properties offering similar luxury amenities and services in a unique setting.
Located in one of the oldest buildings in Nashville’s Germantown neighborhood, the inn is a two-story, Federal-style house that was constructed in 1865 and reimagined into a six-bedroom luxury boutique inn in December 2016. The property features a red brick exterior, tall ceilings, large picture windows, a lush outdoor courtyard, and a private rooftop terrace with downtown and neighborhood views. The design, led by Nashville-based interior designer McLean Barbieri, includes modern textures and updated amenities that balance the original character of the 1860’s building to create a contemporary and functional space. Throughout the inn, custom pieces were commissioned from local artists to highlight the vast creative talent in the city, including drapery fabric created by Andra Eggleston, wallpaper and wall installations from New Hat Projects, and custom lighting designed by Nashville company Southern Lights Electric.
Each of the inn’s six suites is named for a former United States president who has a connection to Tennessee or is named for a street in Germantown. Local artist and graphic designer Caitlin Mello created colorful presidential portraits that hang in each suite. The original artwork emulates the unique and quirky characteristics of each president and weaves in elements that reflect their respective connections to the region.
The inn’s location makes it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. It is available for whole-house rentals, intimate weddings, business retreats, meetings, and other special events.
The germantown inn recently announced the start of construction on the Carriage House, a 2,000-square-foot addition that will encompass two stories and four additional suites, nearly doubling the capacity of Germantown’s only hotel in the neighborhood. The Carriage House is scheduled to be completed in Fall 2018.
