NASHVILLE, TN – Nov. 19, 2019 – Celebrate the holiday season with a special performance by four-time GRAMMY® winner Steve Wariner 7 p.m. Dec. 13 in Historic RCA Studio B. Tickets are $39.50 and go on sale noon Friday, Nov. 15.
The evening starts with a brief tour of the studio, culminating with Wariner performing original songs, holiday tunes and re-interpretations of classic hits recorded in Studio B.
Wariner’s Top 10 hits include “All Roads Lead to You,” “Heart Trouble,” “Some Fools Never Learn” and “What I Didn’t Do.” He co-wrote and recorded the 1998 hit “Holes in the Floor of Heaven,” which was named Song of the Year by both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association. Wariner also wrote “Longneck Bottle” (Garth Brooks), “Nothin’ but the Taillights” (Clint Black) and “Where the Blacktop Ends” (Keith Urban). Wariner was recently inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame by longtime friend, collaborator and Country Music Hall of Fame member Garth Brooks. He is also a member of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and the National Thumbpickers Hall of Fame.
Wariner has multiple ties to Studio B. He was mentored by Country Music Hall of Fame members Dottie West, who recorded many hits in the room, and Chet Atkins, who managed RCA’s Nashville operation and produced hundreds of songs in Studio B. West encouraged Wariner to move to Nashville and play bass in her band, while Atkins signed Wariner to his first recording contract and eventually named him a “C.G.P.,” or “Certified Guitar Player,” a distinction given to only five musicians.
Wariner’s performance is part of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Deck the Hall, a month-long holiday celebration. A comprehensive list of activities taking place during this time can be found at www.countrymusichalloffame.org/deckthehall2019.
