NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Under the direction of executive chef Jeff Axline, Tavern at Bobby has launched a new menu, highlighting the rich, comforting flavors of the season, inspired by nostalgia and travel.
Paying homage to the season, Axline and his team utilize slower cooking techniques, like roasting and braising, in the creation of dishes like Duck Confit with artichokes and charred carrots; Braised Rabbit Rigatoni with turnips, golden beets and mushrooms and Stout Braised Short Ribs with smoked cheddar grits and winter greens. The menu also features vegetarian options like Man’oushe, an Arabic flatbread topped with butternut squash, pumpkin seed “pesto,” kale, sage and goat cheese; and an elevated Croque Monsieur with country ham and gruyere. Guests will find familiar, nostalgic items on the menu, like Brussels Sprouts and Roasted Chicken, but with Bobby’s signature twist.
Where elegance meets grit, Tavern at Bobby is a cozy dining destination for locals and visitors alike, located inside downtown Nashville’s boutique Bobby Hotel at 230 4th Ave N. With more than 10 years of experience, Chef Axline has worked in top kitchens and hotels from Washington to Texas and has played an integral role at Bobby since prior to the opening in April. At Tavern at Bobby, chef Axline seamlessly melds tastes from across the globe with flavors of Tennessee, emphasizing fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Breakfast is served 6:30-11 a.m. daily; lunch is served 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays to Fridays; dinner is served 5-10 p.m. Sundays and 5-11 p.m. Fridays-Saturdays. Brunch is served until 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
