PARIS, Tenn. – Looking for an afternoon of fun on Kentucky Lake? Join hundreds of lake lovers on boats and jet skis for the Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce “Water Fun Run” with July 21.
This poker run on the water will take players to Cypress Springs, The Breakers, Buchanan Resort, Fat Daddy’s, Pleasant View, Paris Landing State Park Marina and Leatherwood Resort and Marina.
Find two of the three party boats to increase your odds and gain extra stamps. A bonus stamp can be purchased at the Marina for $10. In all, participants have the opportunity to get 10 total cards. Players must visit at least five Marinas for their chance to win one of three $500 grand prizes. Paris Landing State Park Marina hosts check-ins at 2 p.m., 3 pm, or 4 p.m. where you’ll draw cards and find out which lucky player ends up with the best five card hand.
Decorate your boat with the Pirate Theme to add to the fun for a chance to win gift certificates for an evening at Blues Landing. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place.
Also, for every $10 a participant spends at a Marina, they will be provided a pirate coin at the volunteer table. At check-in those coins will be swapped for a chance to win a 26qt Orca Cooler sponsored by Trolinger’s in Paris.
Packets and T-shirts are available now 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce. It costs $25 to participate and t-shirts and tank tops are $20.
To sign up, contact the Chamber at 731-642-3431 or stop by the office at 2508 E. Wood Street in Paris.
