Sept. 7, 2021 - GATLINBURG, Tenn. – Fall in Gatlinburg means an explosion of colors as the mountains transition from hot summer days to cool Autumn nights. Come enjoy a fall escape nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains this season with Autumn at Anakeesta. Running from September 24 through October 31, this seasonal event features live music every day, a garden full of fall plantings, autumn-themed dining and drink specials, enhanced nighttime lighting, Halloween family fun and of course, the most beautiful Smoky Mountain fall colors!
Summer might be ending in the Smokies, but family fun and adventure are here to stay at Anakeesta! Guests will be greeted by a 20-ft tall scarecrow on the Gatlinburg Parkway outside of the Anakeesta Base Station before they begin their journey to the top of Anakeesta mountain.
Whether they take a relaxing ride through the crisp air on our Chondola or take the scenic forested route on the Ridge Ramblers adventure trucks, they’ll be able to enjoy the sounds of the season with live music from bands like the Corey Trio or Monroeville at Black Bear Village every day of the week! Foodies will enjoy fall-themed chef specials from Cliff Top Restaurant and seasonal adult cocktails like the Smoked Peach or Butter Scotch Bear from the Tap House bar. Everyone in the family will enjoy sweet treats like a pumpkin spice latte or Blue Bell’s Spiced Pumpkin Pecan ice cream from Pearl’s Pie in the Sky.
The best part of Autumn at Anakeesta is the incomparable fall experience in the Smokies. There’s no better place to enjoy the fall foliage in Tennessee or the Appalachian Mountains than at the park. Visitors will also be able to enjoy gorgeous fall blooms and intricate garden delights all surrounded by over 4,000 freshly planted mums and other fall plants.
With all day, unlimited admission to the park guests will want to return for an evening sunset, relax around a firepit, and enjoy the thousands of sparkling lights throughout the park.
