ATHENS, Tenn. – This year’s Corn Maze design celebrates Mayfield Creamery’s Maggie the Cow who celebrates her 35th birthday, now open at Mayfield Farms.
The maze features Maggie blowing out candles on her birthday cake, with the obligatory ice cream cone featured as well. A giant Maggie greets visitors just outside the Maze. In addition to the corn pit and slide combination area, other new activities and specials on the farm include the human foosball game, pumpkin patch and refreshments like freshly-squeezed lemonade and cotton candy.
General admission is $9 for children ages 2 to 10 years of age and $11 for adults. Pumpkins are priced according to size. More than 25 farm activities are included in the admission price.
Mayfield has operated the Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch at the nearly 200-year-old Mayfield Farm for the last nine years, and it is a favorite fall destination for more than 20,000 visitors annually. Thousands of school children come to the Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch on educational fall field trips, and many families have an annual tradition of picking out their pumpkin together on the farm.
