LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Tenn. – See your favorite fairytale characters from Peter Pan to Snow White and Belle during Fairytale Nights 6-8 p.m. March 24-April 16 at Rock City. Enter the castle gates and enjoy a live interactive experience along the Enchanted Trail!
The 2017 event introduces four new characters: Peter Pan, Wendy Darling, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee alongside previous fairytale favorites such as Cinderella and her Fairy Godmother, Prince Charming, Jack (and the Beanstalk), The Evil Queen, Hansel and Gretel. Also new this year on weekends is an interactive story time with Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
Children can come dressed for the occasion, or purchase a variety of prince, princess and knight packages onsite. They can also train to be a knight by scaling a castle wall, sword fighting and learning basic archery, followed by a special ceremony with Queen Guinevere.
One night is still available for a special Tea with Alice and the White Rabbit 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 10. Cinderella, The Fairy Godmother, Snow White and other characters will be there. Enjoy tea and heavy hors d’oeuvres like sandwiches, fresh fruit, scones, desserts and beverages. Tickets also include a souvenir photo, gift and front of line entrance to Fairytale Nights.
Patrons can make the journey to Beast’s castle for dragon wing stew or a cupcake. Starbucks is featuring “The Fairy Godmother,” a Crème-based Frappuccino topped with fairy dust. Café 7 is also serving two pink drinks – Fairy Fizz and Mad Hatter’s Punch, as well as pink bubble gum ice cream in honor of community partner for this event, Emily’s Power For A Cure.
Rock City is proud to partner with EPFAC Neuroblastoma Foundation during Fairytale Nights. Wendy and Jonathan Ransom began the foundation in 2006 to honor the memory of their two-year-old daughter, Emily. She passed away after a heroic four-month battle with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a deadly pediatric cancer. The goal of EPFAC is to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for Neuroblastoma, while helping with the immediate needs of children and their families fighting this disease.
