UNION CITY, Tenn. – BUGS! Larger than Life features gigantic insects are manufactured in Los Angeles by Kokoro Dinosaurs using the latest robotic technology and are on display now through Jan. 7, 2018 at Discovery Park of America.
Six larger than life sized insects, including a Praying Mantis, Desert Locust, two Atlas Beetles, a Stick Insect and Swallowtail caterpillar are featured in the exhibition. Informative descriptions enhance the exhibition’s educational value. Classes and special programs on these and other insects will give aspiring entomologists a chance to collect facts on these amazing insects. The computer-controlled air compressor gives each insect its own unique sequence of movement and sound.
Kokoro Dinosaurs design each new creature through consultation with scientists at museums and universities throughout the United States and Canada. Because scientists are continually gathering new information on insects the models and accompanying information are updated to insure authenticity.
Discovery Park of America is located at 830 Everett Blvd. in Union City, TN.
