JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. – The stories in the play “I Am Home,” runs Feb. 23-25 and March 2-4 at Jonesborough’s McKinney Center.
The play tells the stories of the people who helped shape the Jonesborough of today. These stories revolve around everyday folks, ordinary people who did extraordinary things. The stories in the play are all about how each person’s story contributes to a sense of home.
The music and choreography are stunning, and the cast of 50 actors of all ages and backgrounds, illuminates the biggest message of the play. While this region is filled with different people, with different abilities and backgrounds, one thing unites all of them -they call Jonesborough home.
“I Am Home” is presented by Jonesborough’s Mary B. Martin Program for the Arts with Appalachian Community Federal Credit Union, Appalachian Lighting and Production, Jonesborough’s Schubert Club and Blackburn, Childers and Steagall.
Tickets are $14 general admission, $12 for seniors and students. Special rates are available for groups of 15 or more.
For more information or to purchase tickets, call the Historic Jonesborough Visitors Center at 423-753-1010 or online at www.Jonesborough.com/tickets.
