MADISON, Tenn. – The Amqui Station Pickin’ Party is back for a full season of five bluegrass evenings beginning 6-10:30 p.m. May 26, June 23, July 14, Aug. 11 and Sept. 22 on the Station lawn in front of the Pavilion stage.
Fans of traditional bluegrass, Americana, and “new”grass will enjoy listening to headlining acts as well as pickers jamming on the Station’s lawn and front porch.
Proceeds from this family-friendly event will support DMI educational programs, special events, and operations.
Food and drink vendors will be on-site. Adults of legal drinking age must provide a government issued ID if they wish to get a wristband for beer.
In true pickin’ party fashion, the event will feature festival seating. Attendees should bring their lawn chairs or blankets for seating. The pickin’ party will be held rain or shine. In case of severe weather, the event will be cancelled and rescheduled.
DMI-Amqui Station does allow pets in certain areas of the facility. Dogs are allowed as long as they remain on a leash no longer than 6 ft. (no extendable leashes). Pet owners must clean up after their pets.
Tickets are $10 in advance; $15 at the gate. Musicians participating in jam circles will get a half price discount. Youth tickets (age 7 to 14) are $5; children age 6 and under get free admission.
Tickets may be paid by cash, check, or credit cards. Advance ticket sales end at 4:30 p.m. on the Thursday before each pickin’ party date. Gates open at 6 p.m. the day of the pickin’ party.
