PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. – Craig Morgan, United States Army veteran and Grand Ole Opry member, is set to headline the 28th annual Patriot Festival, Pigeon Forge’s Independence Day celebration, July 4 with entertainment beginning noon at Patriot Park. Morgan takes the stage immediately before an elaborate fireworks display lights up the night sky 9:45 p.m. with the Great Smoky Mountains as a backdrop.
This free festival will have food vendors and a kids’ carnival.
In addition to a variety of local entertainers, the band Electric Avenue, a 1980s pop tribute band, also performs. Electric Avenue has been invited to share stages around the world by Pat Benatar, Kid Rock, Jimmy Kimmel and more. The group performs hit songs from Tears for Fears, Wham!, David Bowie and Prince.
Patriot Festival guests will recognize Morgan’s six-week No. 1 hit “That’s What I Love About Sunday” and signature hits including “Bonfire,” “Almost Home” and “Redneck Yacht Club.” The multi-talented entertainer hosts the award-winning television show “Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors," currently in its sixth season on Outdoor Channel. Morgan previously spent 17 years serving in the Army and Army Reserves.
Patriot Festival guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Umbrellas, tents, and coolers will not be permitted. Free parking will be provided at the Teaster Lane Municipal parking lot, and a free shuttle will operate every 20 minutes between the lot and festival site.
