MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Don’t miss out on all of the fun and excitement at the 2018 TSSAA State Basketball Championships as the girls’ tournament takes place March 7-10 and the boys’ tournament is March 14-17 at MTSU’s Murphy Center.
Over the two week tournament, more than 70,000 tickets are sold to games resulting in an estimated $3 million economic impact on Rutherford County. The tournaments have a rich history in Murfreesboro, where the girls’ tournament has been exclusively played since 1975. The boys’ tournament was hosted in Murfreesboro from 1975-82 and 1989 to present.
The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce is encouraging local residents to come out and see the best athletes in the state compete for championships in girls and boys basketball. Local business owners are encouraged to display a “welcome TSSAA Basketball” message on their marquees to welcome visitors!
General admission tickets are $10 per day. There are six games per day from Wednesday-Friday. On Saturday, there will be one session of three championship games and general admission tickets are $12.
