NASHVILLE, Tenn. – #OdysseoTN – The internationally-acclaimed entertainment company Cavalia is thrilled to announce the upcoming visit of its latest creation Odysseo to Nashville Aug. 30-Sept. 10 under the White Big Top, located near Opryland by Briley Parkway, exit 12.
Cavalia is the world’s largest touring production, featuring 65 magnificent horses and 50 talented riders, acrobats, dancers and musicians. The $30 million extravaganza expands the definition of performance into an epic, soulful theatrical experience.
Tickets for Odysseo in Nashville are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.cavalia.com or 1-866-999-8111.
Odysseo is an immersive theatrical experience in which horses are the stars. A liberty number, in which purebred Arabian horses are directed only by the soft murmurs of their trainer, and a caravan act, are amongst the many scenes that leave spectators captivated.
Deploying their extraordinary talents, the acrobats present a mix of force and sensitivity, while the live musicians and vocalists perform, creating a multi-sensory experience. Whether it is the dexterity of the African acrobats, the enchanting sound of the Kora, or the majestic life-size merry-go-around, the cast and set of Odysseo deliver wonders and stunts.
Imagined by Normand Latourelle – one of the co-founders of Cirque du Soleil and renowned for combining different forms of artistic expression and reinventing the scenic space – Odysseo is a true revolution in live entertainment.
A state-of-the-art video screen three times the size of the world’s largest cinema screens, a three-story mountain for dazzling perspectives, and a real lake made of 40,000 gallons of recycled water which magically appears for a splashing finale are some of the highlights of this show.
Odysseo takes the audience on a fantastical journey to some of nature’s greatest wonders, from the Mongolian steppes to Monument Valley, from the African savannah to Nordic glaciers, and from the Sahara to Easter Island.
Since its Montreal world premiere in 2011, the Odysseo cast has already mesmerized more than 2 million spectators in Canada, the United States and Mexico.
