Free Outdoors Event at Bass Pro Shops Helps Families Prep for Summer Fun

STATEWIDE, Tenn. – Summer is almost here and for those who have been dreaming about warm-weather activities, the Go Outdoors event provides a great opportunity to learn new skills and gear up for camping, hiking, kayaking, fishing, picnicking and many more summer adventures May 20-21, May 27-28 at Bass Pro Shops locations.

Go Outdoors offers a variety of free activities including how-to seminars for kids and adults, workshops, kids crafts, giveaways and a chance to win a dream vacation and fishing excursion in the Florida Keys.

Saturday, May 20:

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Bass Pro Shops and Kansas City Barbecue Society present a free BBQ sampling: Award-winning teams showcasing their pitmaster culinary expertise*

1:30 p.m. – Fun Backyard BBQ: Tips from grills to backyard games for the perfect outdoor grilling session

4:30 p.m. – Family Camping: Conquering campfires, cooking and comfort

Sunday, May 21:

1 p.m. – Kids & Camping: Time outdoors and fun stuff to bring

3 p.m. – Kayaking: Basics for family fun
