BON AQUA, Tenn. – The Bon Aqua Bluegrass Festival is tuned up and ready to make music beginning 10 a.m. Saturday, July 1 at The Storytellers Museum & Hideaway Farm, a more than 100-acre farm in Bon Aqua, Tennessee that was the creative home of music legend Johnny Cash.
The family-friendly event kicks off with a full schedule of some of the top mainstage names in bluegrass music including Lonesome River Band, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, and NewTown. The Hogslop String Band and The Storytellers Hideaway Farm Band add featured performances.
It all takes place at the rustic outdoor theater adjacent to the pre-Civil war log home Johnny Cash owned for more than 30 years and called “the center of my universe.”
Event admission will include open house tours of Cash’s log home 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., as well as access to Cinnamon Hill, a free standing display of Cash memorabilia, photo gallery and an array of antique cars.
Concert attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic baskets to take advantage of the scenic farm setting surrounding the mainstage. Covered seating at the outdoor theater is limited on a first-come basis. Parking is free.
Food will be available for purchase onsite and additional free fun attractions for the kids will be provided by Bouncy House and Anthony the Balloon Kid.
Advance tickets are now on sale through Eventbrite and may be purchased online.
Tickets are $25 in advance for general admission. A special local discount provides $20 tickets for residents of Hickman and Dickson Counties and Fairview, Tennessee. Tickets are also available at The Storytellers Museum in Bon Aqua.
General admission tickets are $30 at the gate. Children and military are free.
