Chattanooga, TN. (May 18, 2022) - Sunshine Loveless and Michelle Loveless are the owners and founders of Outshine Adventures, a women and LGBTQ owned business based in Chattanooga, TN that offers guided outdoor experiences with equipment and instruction that encourage people to get outside and connect with nature. The newly rebranded Outshine Adventures was founded by Sunshine Loveless as Sunshine’s Adventures in 2018 with 2 paddleboards and an idea. Today, Outshine Adventures offers guided paddle board tours, hiking tours, mountain bike clinics, women’s adventure retreats and yoga offerings. They also have a solar powered adventure van that you can rent to travel and explore the great outdoors on your own.
Sunshine found her love for the outdoors after taking a whitewater rafting trip on the Ocoee River. They spent 6 years guiding full-time before transitioning into social work. After a short bout with lung cancer in 2016, Sunshine chose to get back outside, and use nature as therapy to heal. The dream to run their own business was finally realized in 2018 with the encouragement and support from their partner, Michelle Loveless.
Michelle is a 500 HR certified yoga instructor that’s been practicing yoga for over 15 years and teaching in a studio for nearly 2 years. Michelle’s nurturing mother earth presence brought a new element to the business and tour offerings.
Outshine Adventures is dedicated to offering immersive outdoor experiences for all folks. They provide safe and inclusive spaces for everyone to get outside and adventure differently.
“In our modern society, the outdoors has become a foriegn and intimidating space for many, yet time spent in nature has incredible health benefits. It’s our mission to inspire more people to get outside and adventure differently with our tour offerings and campervan rentals. We call it nature therapy”, says Sunshine Loveless, co-owner of Outshine Adventures.
