NORRIS, Tenn. – The third annual “Candlelight Christmas” event, a winter celebration that captures the beauty and simplicity of an Appalachian Christmas, takes place 5-8:30 p.m. Dec. 1-2 at the Museum of Appalachia.
The centerpiece of this holiday event is an evening tour of the Museum’s pioneer village. Old-fashioned Christmas decorations will adorn the interiors of the Museum’s authentic log cabins—many of which will be festively lit for the occasion.
“A Candlelight Christmas” will also feature a live Nativity scene, musicians performing throughout the grounds, local artisans and craftspeople, and a variety of family-friendly activities, including wagon rides, visits with farm animals, caroling in the chapel, Christmas storytelling, and more.
Kids can make ornaments and decorate cookies at the Children’s Craft Station. Blacksmiths, spinners, weavers, and sock-makers will be on-site for historic demonstrations.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the Museum entrance gate on the day of the event.
Ticket Prices:

Children (5-17) - $6
