NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Registration is now open for the popular 5K Zoo Run Run taking place 1 p.m. Jan. 27, 2018 through Nashville Zoo.
Nashville Zoo will close to the public at 1 p.m. on Jan. 27 to prepare for Zoo Run Run. Registration and check-in begins at 1:30 p.m., and the race starts at 3 p.m. Refreshments and beer (age 21+ only) will be available after the race.
Early registration (ending Dec. 31) is $30 for zoo members, $35 for non-members and $15 for children ages 5-12. Regular registration (Jan. 1- Jan. 25) is $42 per adult and $20 for children (ages 5-12). Children ages 4 years old and younger are free. Week-of race registration is $50 per adult and $25 for children (ages 5-12).
The annual 5K takes participants past habitats throughout the zoo and along roads and trails not normally accessed by the public. Families and children are encouraged to bundle up and hit the trail. Strollers with all-terrain tires are recommended.
All proceeds from the Zoo Run Run help fund daily zoo operations, from providing educational programming to feeding the animal collection and keeping the Zoo safe and clean for visitors. The Zoo Run Run is supported by The Logan Group of Raymond James.
