GATLINBURG, Tenn. – Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies has opened a new exhibit “Shipwrecks” that presents key shipwrecks from the bottom of the sea that have had a major impact throughout major events in history and the world.
At The New Shipwrecks Exhibit, visitors will be able to see wreck reenactments; unearth buried treasures; explore shipwrecks from early B.C. to the forgotten shipwrecks and what caused the shipwrecks; stand by Abraham Lincoln or pose with the Lincolns; test their skill as a high-tech treasure hunter and receive artifacts from the Titanic and the Spanish Armanda; operate a deep-sea robot; and learn about Black Beard’s Queen Anne’s Revenge, the Edmund Fitzgerald, CSS Alabama, the Hunley and many more.
Visitors can also take a photo with a famous replica from Chuuk Lagoon.
