GATLINBURG, Tenn. – Artists can submit exhibition proposals for solo or two-artist shows in the Geoffrey A. Wolpert Gallery at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. The deadline to submit is April 2, 2018.
Preference will be given to artists whose work is contemporary yet based in traditional craft practices. Curatorial projects will also be considered. Please indicate in your proposal description whether you’d like to be considered for a curated, two-person exhibit.
Submissions will be reviewed by a committee beginning April 2. Indicate in your exhibition proposal if the images submitted are exact works you’re prepared to exhibit, works in progress, or examples of past work and what new work will look like. Please include: Title, Media, Year Created, and Dimensions in the description box along with each image. Shipping fees to and from the gallery are the responsibility of the artist. Installation, reception, postcards, and promotion will be provided by Arrowmont.

The Wolpert Gallery is a 202-square-foot foyer gallery, located directly within the main entrance of Arrowmont. The gallery includes two walls joined at a 90 degree angle, one 13.5 feet long, the other 15 feet long, and room in the middle for 3-D work. There are four, two-month exhibition slots available in the 2019 exhibition calendar.
Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts is a national art education center. The school enriches lives by developing aesthetic appreciation and fostering self-expression with hands-on experiences in a variety of media, classes, conferences and seminars. On the leading edge of arts education, Arrowmont utilizes contemporary and fine arts techniques to build upon a foundation of traditional arts and crafts.
