MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Aug. 4, 2021 - The National Civil Rights Museum resumes its annual Small but Mighty Storytime series, which thematically focuses on peacemaking, kindness, diversity, and creating positive social change. Led by Museum Educator Dory Lerner, each session offers parents and children a chance to engage together for teachable moments, activities and resources.
TODAY'S STORYTIME SESSION – SULWE
In this edition of our Small But Mighty Storytime, educator and special guest, Nicole Bandele, reads Sulwe by Lupita Nyong’o and illustrated by Vashti Harrsion. This powerful book reminds us to appreciate the beauty in ourselves and to respect and cherish the diversity among all people.
