Secret Garden Tea Party

This new event kicks off the Secret Garden Party season while celebrating the mothers in our community! This outdoor event features breakfast and tea provided by local vendors, and we’ll have craft stations for making flower crowns and fairy gardens. $15 per person, $10 per person for members. Wine & Whiskey + Shakesbeer (21+)

“Ale’s well that ends well,” and this year Discovery Center is combining its popular Wine & Whiskey and Shakesbeer events to offer one of the most extensive tasting experiences of the year. The event takes place at the Discovery Center’s serene Murfree Spring natural area and features theatrical performances by Murfreesboro Little Theatre, along with samples of a variety of local craft brews plus wines and whiskeys from Stones River Total Beverage. sponsored by FirstBank, Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Murfreesboro Little Theater, Roscoe Brown, Stones River Liquors, and S&W Contracting Company, Inc. In The Studio: Creativity & Printmaking
Thursdays, 10 a.m.
Calling creatives of ALL ages! Finding new ways to stay creative can be a challenge. Join us as Discovery Center’s Artist in Residence, Kelsey, teaches us about finding new ways to unleash and utilize our creative muscles. Each week we will dive into different techniques and skills using printmaking with a special focus on creativity. Activities vary weekly and may include some outdoor exploration, inspiration gathering, and creating indoors in The Studio. Included with admission, free for members. Weekend In The Wetlands

Music is scientific! Visit our featured exhibit and learn some of the surprising ways science and music connect! Feel the rhythm through the drums, find the pitch with the pipe organ, and take the stage in this interactive exploration of sound. Exhibit included with general admission and free for members. The Discovery Center at Murfree Spring is a hands-on, environmental, cultural and educational museum located in the heart of Middle Tennessee. More than 120,000 children and families visit annually, exploring exhibits and participating in programs that promote STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & math) education.
