MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The most prestigious event in the world of canine sports, the Cynosport® World Games takes place Oct. 25-29 at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro. This is the third time the event has been held in Murfreesboro.
More than 1,000 canines and their human teammates from around the globe are participating in this fun, fur-flying event. Cynosport® features dogs of all shapes, sizes, colors and breeds running nose-to-nose for the chance to be crowned the Grand Prix of Dog Agility® World Champion.
In 2013 and 2015, the United States Dog Agility Association selected Tennessee Miller Coliseum as the facility of choice to host the event with more $1 million in economic impact for Rutherford County during each event week.
As the ultimate family event, organizers invite the community to come watch the action in person, shop at the many unique pet vendors on hand and participate in a variety of other dog sports being showcased.
Lure course, rally obedience and agility 101 will be offered for spectators and their well-behaved dogs to get some “paws-on” experience in these canine activities. For everyone’s safety, dogs must be on leashes no longer than six feet.
Studies show these types of activities create strong bonds between dogs and their owners resulting in well-behaved dogs both inside and outside the home.
United State Dog Agility Association is dedicated to promoting the sport of dog agility as a recreational, family sport that fosters responsible pet ownership.
