Sit in the pilot’s seat and take the controls of a real airplane
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville Flight Training is offering its popular Discovery Flight at a special price of $99 ($139 value) through Dec. 24.
Aspiring pilots can take the controls of a real airplane under the watchful eye of a certified flight instructor, as they fly over Nashville. A 30-minute Discovery Flight is the ideal gift for anyone who’s interested in aviation or would enjoy hands-on flying experience in a small airplane.
For more information, visit www.NashvilleFlightTraining.com.
Discovery Flights take off from the same runways at Nashville International Airport used by the big commercial airliners. Before departure, climb into the cockpit of a single-engine Cessna 172 or Piper Arrow and sit in the pilot’s seat. After a short introduction to the flight instruments and controls, the student and the instructor will take to the skies. During the flight, students are likely to see downtown Nashville, along with local sights, neighborhoods, lakes and rivers below.
The Discovery Flight package also comes with aviation booklets and a free six-month subscription to Flight Training magazine, the official publication of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
No prior flying experience is required for a Discovery Flight. Nashville Flight Training’s FAA-certified instructors handle all the advanced flight maneuvers and let the student take the controls only when it’s safe to do so.
